Tree & Shrub Program

We also care for shrubs and trees with the same philosophy, we care for the entire ecosystem. We promote good health first – healthy plants have fewer problems! Our programs include the physical inspection of the plants to determine any problems. Only plants with problems are treated. Working this way, the problems are treated individually. Only the appropriate methods and materials are used, no blanket sprays. This reduces overall pesticide use and significantly increases control, plant health and quality of the overall landscape while protecting beneficial insects.

EARLY SPRING – Dormant Oil  (March – April)

Non-toxic oil applied to smothers insect eggs and over-wintering insects, scales and mites.  [Note:  systemic material for specific insect problems may also be applied.]

SPRING – Foliar Insect Control (April – May)

The first foliar treatment is for control of the problem insects that affects the new growth of trees and shrubs.

EARLY SUMMER – Foliar Insect & Mite Control  (May – June)

The second foliar treatment is the period of greatest insect activity.

SUMMER – Foliar Insect & Mite Control (July – August)

The third foliar treatment is the period for the control of summer emerging insects and mites.

LATE SUMMER – Scale & Mite Control  (August – September)

The fourth foliar treatment is designed to control late summer scale and mites as well as hemlock wolley adelgids and insects the affect ornamental fruit trees.

FALL – Fall Horticultural Oil  (September – November)

The final treatment of the year is designed to smothers insects and their eggs to reduce pest problems for next year.

TREE & SHRUB FEEDING WITH SOIL AMENDMENTS (October – December)

Recommended every year for specific trees and shrubs to help them resist or recover from stressful environmental conditions.  Healthy plants are your first line of defense.

EVERGREEN WINTER PROTECTION (October – December)

Reduces damage caused by cold winter winds and low temperatures by reducing the amount of moisture lost throughout the winter months.

Specialty Tree and Shrub Applications

All programs can be custom tailored to your specific case. Application recommendations are made for top results; however, we can do as many or few treatments as requested.  One is better than none.

Stress Recovery Program

The Stress Recovery program is designed to help any tree or shrub suffering from general decline. Whether it be drought stress, recovering from weather damage, poor pruning recovery, or underperforming and needs a boost, this program will provide exactly what the plant needs.

For best results treatment should be done 1-2 times a year.

Included in each treatment:

  • A balanced fertilizer to encourage healthy growth within the tree. It will not make the tree grow faster, as this can create weak growth that is more prone to insect and disease problems.
  • A phosphite additive which works to stimulate the plants natural defense system, strengthens cell walls within the plant to prevent water loss and minimize drought stress.

                       Soluble Potash……27%

  • An organic micronutrient package will support all of the systems within the plant to generate supported healthy growth. Micronutrients supply important necessary nutrients not found in most basic fertilizers.

                     Nitrogen……1%                              Iron……2.5%

                    Magnesium……1.5%                      Manganese…….0.10%

                     Sulfur……4%                                   Zinc……0.10%

                     Boron……0.4%

  • An organic bio stimulant aids and encourages root and overall growth by improving the soil structure to free up and allow the plant to take up naturally occurring nutrients in the soil as well as helping to correct any PH imbalances.

Total Humic and Fulvic Acids……14%    Plant Metabolites……16.5%

              L-Amino Acid Substrates……44.5%         Carbohydrates……3%

             Soluble Kelp Extract……2.5%                     Saraponins……1%

  • A soil penetrant allows water to easily penetrate deeper into the soil. This enables the plant to absorb and retain more water while also supporting the immune system to recover from stress faster.

Color Gain Plus

When a tree of shrub is looking off color and does not have that deep green color that it should or once had, the plant may be struggling to extract the nutrients it needs from the soil. The Color Gain Plus program is designed to release locked up nutrients from the soil, as well as supply the plant with additional nutrients to get that green color back.

For best results 1-2 treatments should be done in the spring or 2 treatments around 21 days apart once symptoms appear.

Included in each treatment:

  • A combination of nutrients that will give the plant a greener appearance without the excessive growth by improving the plants energy and respiration systems.

                          Nitrogen……12%                       Manganese……2%

                          Magnesium……0.25%               Sulfur……4%

                          Iron……6%

  • An organic micronutrient package will support all the systems within the plant to generate supported healthy growth. Micronutrients supply important necessary nutrients not found in most basic fertilizers.

                            Nitrogen……1%                     Iron……2.5%

                            Magnesium……1.5%             Manganese…….0.10%

                            Sulfur……4%                           Zinc……0.10%

                            Boron……0.4%

  • A balanced fertilizer to encourage healthy growth within the tree. It will not make the tree grow faster, as this can create weak growth that is more prone to insect and disease problems.
  • A soil penetrant allows water to easily penetrate deeper into the soil. This enables the plant to absorb and retain more water while also supporting the immune system to recover from stress faster.

Disease Defender Program

Not all diseases can be treated with a foliar spray. Root diseases can continue to affect a plant no matter how many times you treat with a foliar disease control. The Disease defender program was designed to fight these root/ sub-surface diseases. Using a biological fungicide, we can fight the disease below the surface while at the same time supplying the plant with nutrients it needs to outgrow the damage and boost the plants immune system so that it can fight the disease better on its own.

For best results treatment should be done twice in the spring and fall about 30 days apart (4 applications total).

Included in each treatment:

  • An organic bio stimulant aids and encourages root and overall growth by improving the soil structure to free up and allow the plant to take up naturally occurring nutrients in the soil as well as helping to correct any PH imbalances.

Total Humic and Fulvic Acids……14%        Plant Metabolites……16.5%

           L-Amino Acid Substrates……44.5%             Carbohydrates……3%

           Soluble Kelp Extract……2.5%                        Saraponins……1%

  • A biological fungicide prevents, suppresses, and defends against pathogens in soil borne diseases. At the same time will encourage healthier roots, accelerate healthy plant growth, and activate the plants natural defense system.

            Bacillus Subtilis (GB03) ……0.03%                   Nitrogen……2%

            Phosphorus……3%                                              Potassium……2%

(Trace amounts of calcium and magnesium)

A phosphite additive which works to stimulate the plants natural defense system, strengthens cell walls within the plant to prevent water loss and minimize drought stress.

                 Soluble Potash……27%
